Brooklyn Heights tends to do Halloween in a big way. One charming little dead-end street near us always has an amazing assortment of carved jack-o-lanterns lining the road. This year was special though; they used the pumpkins to announce the birth of their Halloween week baby, in what must be the coolest baby announcement ever.
Meanwhile, Henry is going to have some seriously creative costumes his entire childhood. I can hardly wait to stop by next year and see how they top it.
That is pretty cool:) But as I paranoid parent, I wonder about the safety implications of letting everyone who lives near you know your baby’s name……
OH NO! THE 6,432ND HENRY IN BROOKLYN BORN IN OCTOBER!
Seriously, this is a good place for paranoid people to live. Because everyone knows everyone. Or maybe that’s a bad thing?
lmao
That’s a serious number of pumpkins! Are they Brooklyn pumpkin farmers as well as proud parents?!
I agree, repeat visits will be needed to see if they maintain this high standard.
I think just Brooklyn pumpkin fans. Unless they have a patch on their rooftop that I’m unaware of.
Aw! I have a Henry. This made me smile. 🙂
Great idea! My son just turned 1 on 10/25. I love October and Halloween so we did a Halloween themed party. I can’t wait to do these every year lol. Until he tells me to stop that is.
I love it! (Plus that’s potentially a lot of roasted pumpkin seeds. Yum!)
I’m impressed that the parent of a week old baby was carving 20 pumpkins! Must be their first child 😉
